This toolkit offers an interactive learning approach to explore the issue of a just energy transition, particularly from the perspectives of women and vulnerable groups. Through the snakes and ladders game, participants are invited not only to play, but also to engage in discussions around real challenges such as gender inequality in the energy sector, land conflicts, women’s workload, and access to information and social protection.
Each step in the game presents situations and reflective questions that encourage participants to share their experiences, knowledge, and perspectives. Some squares prompt players to answer questions or express their views, making the learning process more participatory and grounded in real-life contexts. In this way, issues that are often seen as technical can be understood in relation to everyday community experiences.
This toolkit is suitable for facilitators, civil society organizations, and communities to spark discussion, raise awareness, and strengthen a shared understanding of the importance of an inclusive and just energy transition.
